GPA Transfer Systems run
angularly synchronous with the press drive of
mechanical presses. With hydraulic presses, we deliver a
start-stop inter-link to the
press. The Transfer Systems are fully electronic, freely
programmable and available
in 2 or 3 axes for:
- mechanical and hydraulic presses
- feed travel of up to approx. 2500 mm
- bed sizes of up to approx. 7000 mm
- parts weighing up to approx. 80 kg
- number of strokes: up to approx. 120
strokes per minute
Utilization
GPA Transfer Systems are designed to
transport parts stepwise in multi-station
die sets. Uses range from traditional sheet metal forming
applications to
multi-station forging applications. Our use of integrated
subassemblies allows the
free-range versatility of multiple application modes as well as
the trouble-free
integration of the press operating cycle. This makes the
application of GPA
Transfers ideal for retro-fits and new press installations.
Concept
GPA represents the following performance
advantages:
- 2 or 3 axis movement: grip-feed,
lift-feed, grip-lift-feed or suction operations
- clean separation of operational axes:
one servo-motor per axis, coupled via an electronic curve
- all axes freely programmable
- fully rotational integration of the
press stroke for mechanical presses (master-slave principle)
- start-stop integration for the
hydraulic press
- memory capacity of up to 500 tool
sets, instantly downloadable
- fast acting and easy to understand
operator display graphics
- clear message display of operational
faults and maintenance functions
- structured operating system for the
various program components
- off-site diagnostic and service
capability
- electronic overload monitoring with
mechanical back-up
- variable mounting options for feed,
grip and grip-lift tooling
- rugged mechanical structure with
widespread use of standard components
- electonically activated central
lubrication system
Design (Example)
Options
GPA offers unlimited options in
conjunction with the standard line program.
The most popular options:
- supply and mounting of encoder
- additional gripper bars or gripper bar
subplates
- gripper bar quick disconnects and rest
stations
- implementation of additional axes
(e.g. rotation, tip action)
- incorporating external operations
- designing and incorporating additional
systems (e.g. stackers,
destackers, parts lubrication)
- disassembling existing structures,
installation of new systems, training,
production assistance, preventive maintenance and service
contracts
GPA has the right solution for you!
Mounting and Integration
GPA Transfer Systems are laid out in
relationship to the press bed. The
drive housings are mounted to the press columns. When necessary,
the Transfer
System can be alternately mounted to rolling bolsters or to
additionally provided
sub-frames. Cut-outs in the press frame for drive shafts are not
necessary.
The electrical installation is simplified due to almost all
components being housed
in a single switch cabinet. The panel is linked to the transfer
and operator station
via integrated multi-pin connectors. With predefined information
exchange between
the press, the transfer (e.g. slide position, start commands,
E-stops, etc.), a trouble
free operation is assured. All systems include a modem link for
off-site trouble
shooting and new part integration.
